The pilot-regions

The new EU LIFE-funded project ” Insect Responsible Sourcing Regions” aims to target seven farming regions to address insect conservation – and biodiversity as a whole. The project is implemented by experienced organisations and companies: Global Nature Fund, Netzwerk Blühende Landschaften, Nestlé Germany and Bäuerliche Erzeugergemeinschaft Schwäbisch Hall. All are contributing their expertise to the four-year project.

  • Lake Constance (districts of Constance, Lake Constance district, Ravensburg).

  • Northern Upper Rhine (Karlsruhe, Rhine-Neckar districts)

  • Hohenlohe (Schwäbisch Hall, Hohenlohe, Main-Tauber district, Rems-Murr district, Ostalbkreis, Ansbach)

  • Allgäu (districts of Ravensburg, Oberallgäu, Unterallgäu, Ostallgäu, Lindau)

  • Wendland (districts of Nienburg/Weser, Schaumburg, Lüchow-Dannenberg)

  • Bliesgau (districts of Saarpfalz-Kreis, Neunkirchen)

  • Vinschgau (Region in South Tyrol/Italy)
